British Candies

Today my mom returned from a visit to Scotland for work and I asked her to bring me back strange candies.  I have to say, she definitely delivered. I cannot wait to eat them all. In fact I've already inhaled the package of Wine Gums and they were sososososososo good. Some of the candy bars look similar to things we have here in the US (bounty=mounds, maltesers=whoppers) but they seem 10x cooler because of the packaging. I truly think food differences are the best part of traveling!

Weekly Photos #6

It has been FREEZING!!! Maybe that's normal if you live where it snows but here it's a nice range of 40 to 60 year round, except for this week.  For some reason, unknown to me, it is always really nice and warm for a couple of weeks in January and February then the rain starts and this week I experienced a mix of those.  It was really sunny but really cold and windy.  It's hoovered around 40 all week and at school we all huddle into the rooms and don't leave.  Wow, Californians really can't deal with weather! :P Other that that, I've been working on my french nonstop because I have a HUGE test next tuesday that I'm not even a little bit prepared for :/

Germinated Radish seeds for my biology project/the stuff in my purse/donkey stand off at the zoo/sunset in old town/gorgeous van across from my school/eucalyptus trees on the way to school/yummy sushi dinner
I still can't believe that I finished two books this weekend after being stuck on one for about a month! Hey, maybe procrastination is good for something.  Maintenant, je peux travailler sur le francais !

Good Things

Ceramics
I've taken a ceramics class for most of my 17 years, but I still love the feeling of using a pot you created.  This past week I brought home three bowls that I'm really proud of and I love eating applesauce out of them in the mornings.

Nature Valley Honey and Oat Bars
I used to hate these in middle school, but I bought a box of them and now I crave them all the time!!!

This week my goals are to do the best I can on my IB French test and to go swimming more than twice.  Whats on your plate this week?

Weekly Photos #2

Looking back at this last week of photos, I can see that I've found it much harder to take photos everyday.  I live a pretty routine life which has led me to taking some of the same photos.  Plus I've found it hard to remember to take photos until I get home which also leads to a ton of repetition. There are only so many things I can photograph in my room.  I'm going to try to find some inspiration for pictures on pinterest and hopefully I can really love what I put in this space in 7 days.

Foggy Mornings/the empty room I was stuck in with 4 friends for 6 hours/my attempt at avocado deviled eggs/fancy shoes/adorable iPad app (Happy Street)/lockers at my gym/light filtering through the curtains

As you can see I sunk pretty low this week.  Happy Street, curtains and lockers oh so exciting!  Ah well, all I can to is take more.  I hope you enjoyed them slightly!

Good Things:

Swimming
Who knew that exercise could make one so peppy and happy?  I was thoroughly enjoyed that I had a peanut butter sandwich for lunch one day that I couldn't stop talking about it...

Philosophy Class
I'm always amazed when I achieve a good mark on a test or final.  This week I learned what I got on my final from last semester and I blew my expectations away.  I feel a lot less worried for the IB test now :)

How about you?
